What a PPC audit finds

Most Google Ads accounts are bleeding money quietly. Negative keywords missing. Tracking that doesn’t work. Audiences set too broad. Keywords too generic. Bids left on autopilot. Ad copy that doesn’t match the landing page. None of this is visible in your reporting dashboard unless you know exactly what to look for.

An audit is a forensic review. I dig into the account structure, the keyword performance, the conversion tracking, the audience setup, and the bid strategy. Then I tell you exactly where the waste is and what to fix.

A thorough audit covers

What I deliver

A written report with specific, actionable findings. Not vague recommendations. Specific keyword IDs to pause, tracking fixes to implement, restructuring suggestions, and a prioritised roadmap of changes to test. You decide which ones to implement.

Real waste I've found

A home services company in Kent was spending on keywords for locations they didn’t service. One ecommerce brand had two campaigns bidding against each other, cannibalising share. Another had conversion tracking that wasn’t even firing—they thought the account was profitable when it wasn’t. These aren’t edge cases. They’re common.

The audit process

  1. Share account accessYou give me read-only access to Google Ads (and Google Analytics if available). One call to understand your business model and what ‘success’ looks like.
  2. Deep analysisI spend time in the account, pulling data, checking conversion tracking, reviewing keyword performance, mapping out inefficiencies.
  3. Written reportSpecific findings with keyword IDs, tracking fixes, restructuring suggestions, and a prioritised action plan. Usually 15–25 pages depending on account complexity.
  4. Optional walkthroughIf you want, I can walk you through the findings in a call. Otherwise, you implement on your own timeline or hire someone to do it.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an audit cost?

That depends on account complexity. Smaller accounts (under £1,000/month spend) start around one point; larger or more complex accounts are higher. I quote after an initial call. No surprise bills—you know the cost upfront.

How long does an audit take?

The analysis usually takes 5–10 working days. The report gets to you within two weeks from when I start. Turnaround is faster for simpler accounts.

What if I disagree with your findings?

Then we talk about it. My recommendations are based on data and 12 years of experience, but your business context matters too. If you see it differently, that’s fine—you’re not obligated to implement anything.

Can you audit accounts in Gillingham with high CPCs?

Exactly. Gillingham’s in the London commuter belt, so CPCs are high—which makes waste even more expensive and good strategy even more critical. An audit in this environment often uncovers hundreds of pounds in preventable monthly spend.

What if I want to hire you to implement the changes?

We can discuss that. But the audit stands alone—it’s not a sales tool. You can implement recommendations yourself, hire your current team to do it, or bring me in for ongoing management. Your choice.

Do you need my ad copy and landing pages?

Helpful but not essential. I can flag mismatches in Google Ads directly, but if you share copies and pages, I can go deeper on message alignment and user experience.
